  • 20 grams of starch;

  • 12 grams of vanilla or 25 grams of vanilla sugar.

Cooking steps

  1. Separate eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the protein with a whisk with two glasses of granulated sugar until an airy consistency.
  2. Beat the remaining granulated sugar with the yolks. Mix starch, soda and vanilla sugar, add to flour.
  3. Whipped egg yolk, flour and starch mixture mix and beat for seven minutes.
  4. Add tomass of whipped protein, without ceasing to mix.
  5. Divide the resulting dough into three equal parts.
  6. Bake each cake for 50 minutes on a round baking sheet at 180 0C.

  9. Spread sour cream over the entire surface of the cake and cool in the refrigerator.

You will need the following:

  • 200g milk chocolate (by weight);
  • 200g yellow mastic;
  • 100g orange;
  • 20 g chocolate mastic.

Orange mastic for the lion's mane can be replaced with chocolate, then the figurine will be the same as in the photo of the lion cake above.

Action algorithm

  1. Milk chocolate must be melted in the microwave. Let cool slightly.
  2. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the entire surface of the cake and chill it in the refrigerator for 60 minutes.
  3. To fashion the body of a lion cub in the form of an oval from orange mastic.
  4. The bases of the hind legs are made from flattened balls. We attach them to the body. From two small cones we make the paws themselves, push the places of the nails with a toothpick and attach them to the bottom of the base.
  5. The front legs are made using the same technology, only slightly longer than the hind legs. Attach them to the body.
  6. We roll a ball out of yellow mastic - this isthere will be a lion's head. The muzzle, eyes and nose of a lion are made from chocolate mastic.
  7. For the ears, you need to form small cakes and insert smaller circles of white mastic in the center. Attach the ears to the head.
  8. From orange mastic using thin sausages to make a lion's mane.
  9. Attach the lion's head to the body and carefully place it in the center of the cake.
