You need to start cooking German strudel with meat by creating a dough. For this, oxygenated flour, warm milk, an egg, a pinch of s alt and melted butter are mixed in a deep container. A ball is formed from the resulting mass and kept at room temperature for an hour. At the end of the specified time, the dough is rolled out into a thin layer and covered with a filling made from ground meat, chopped onions, crushed garlic, chopped herbs and spices. All this is rolled up and baked at 200 degrees for about forty-five minutes.
With cabbage
According to the recipe described below, an unusual, but very tasty strudel with meat and vegetables is obtained. To repeat it at home, you will need:
- 100 ml distilled water.
- 5 tbsp. l. refined oil.
- Egg yolk.
- ½ tsp s alt.
- 300g fine flour.
All of the above ingredients are needed to knead the dough, which will become the basis for the meat strudel. The recipe for this pastry provides for the presence of fillings. To create it you will need:
- 200 g cabbage.
- 250g of any ground meat.
- ½ carrots.
- 2 small potatoes.
- Medium onion.
- Vegetable fat and spices.
In a deep bowl, mix oxygenated flour, warm water, egg yolk, s alt and refined oil. After a quarter of an hour, the resulting dough is divided in half. Each of the parts is rolled out in a thin layer and covered with a filling made from ground meat, friedalong with chopped vegetables and spices. All this is rolled up and baked at medium temperature until fully cooked.
With mushrooms
Meat strudel, made according to the method described below, has a distinct mushroom flavor. It turns out quite juicy and very tasty. To make this pastry you will need:
- 300 g white flour.
- 1 tbsp l. vinegar.
- 10 art. l. settled water.
- 1 tsp s alt.
- 5 tbsp refined oil.
To make the juicy stuffing needed for baking meat strudel you will need:
- 150 g raw mushrooms.
- 500g of any ground meat.
- 2 selected eggs.
- 3 slices of loaf.
- ½ cup pasteurized milk.
- 2 garlic cloves.
- Sweet pepper.
- 200 g "Russian" cheese.
- 30g butter.
- S alt and nutmeg.
- Egg yolk and 2 tbsp. l. milk (for brushing).
In one bowl, mix all the ingredients needed to prepare the dough. The resulting mass is rolled out in a thin layer and covered with slices of cheese. Minced meat is evenly distributed on top, combined with spices, s alt, soaked loaf, chopped garlic and eggs. Sliced mushrooms, fried with bell peppers, are spread on the meat. All this is carefully rolled up, transferred to an oiled baking sheet, greased with yolk-milk mixture and baked at mediumtemperature.
With celery
This flavorful meat strudel recipe is sure to be in the personal collection of working women who don't have extra time to spend long hours at the stove. It is interesting in that it involves the use of a purchased test, which significantly reduces the duration of the process. To prepare such pastries you will need:
- 500g ground beef.
- 2 tbsp. l. flour.
- Small onion.
- Medium carrot.
- Selected egg.
- Celery stalk.
- Small potato.
- 2 garlic cloves.
- 2 large champignons.
- A handful of frozen green peas.
- 4 sprigs of rosemary.
- 500g store-bought puff pastry.
- S alt and pepper powder.
Vegetables are cut into medium-sized pieces and stewed with spices and garlic. Then they are cooled and mixed with egg, minced meat and s alt. On a table sprinkled with flour, spread the thawed dough, roll it out, cover it with stuffing and roll it into a roll. Bake the product at medium temperature until done.
