Panini with chicken and cheese
Panini is a beautiful Italian variation of the well-known hot sandwich. Of course, it is most convenient to cook it in a special apparatus or a waffle iron, but a regular frying pan will do - just use some small press on top to "hitch" the products inside. So let's make a hot sandwich with chicken and cheese! We need the following products:
- cereal bread - 2 slices;
- ready-made chicken meat (baked, boiled) - 70r;
- Mozzarella cheese - 2 small balls;
- tomato - 2 slices;
- French mustard - 1 tsp
All products are given for 1 serving, multiply by the number of eaters if necessary.
Cooking?
Place a heavy bottomed pan over medium heat. Do not oil.
Smear a slice of bread with mustard, top with alternately tomato, chicken and sliced cheese. Press the second piece of bread on top.
Put the resulting sandwich on a preheated pan, place something heavy on top for better contact - for example, a jar with a flat bottom.
Flip the chicken sandwich when it's browned and fry it on the other side, also using the weight from above.
Your task is to ensure that it acquires a uniform crispy crust, and the cheese inside melts, soaking the filling and giving it a rich creamy taste. That's all! Your sandwich is ready, you can eat it right away or take it with you as a snack.
Chicken sandwich a la Caprese
"Caprese" is the famous Italian salad, consisting of tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and pesto sauce. We decided to add boiled chicken fillet to it for greater satiety, as it will perfectly fit into the overall fresh-spicy taste of the sandwich. This recipe is more complicated than the previous one, but the result is worth it. Ingredients set:
- raw chicken fillet - 120g;
- ready pesto - 1 tbsp.l.;
- bread (best ciabatta) - 2 slices;
- Mozzarella cheese - 2 balls;
- fresh tomato - 2 slices;
- fresh basil - 3 leaves;
- olive oil - 1 tsp;
- s alt, black pepper - to taste.
Cooking
First, start with the chicken. Marinate it in pesto, leave for 15 minutes, then wrap tightly in foil and bake for half an hour at 180 oC. Cool without removing foil.
Cut the cold chicken into slices when fully cooked.
To assemble this chicken sandwich (photo below), place tomatoes on a slice of bread and sliced cheese on top.
Drip olive oil on top of cheese, sprinkle with s alt and pepper and spread basil leaves.
Spread the chicken pieces over the greens.
Press the entire structure with the second slice of bread. If you want, you can fry the sandwich like the panini in the recipe above, but it's delicious cold as well. Perfect for the summer, especially if the chicken is prepared ahead of time.
Chicken Sandwich: Take Care of It
Sandwiches and sandwiches are good because they perfectly fit the line "I blinded him from what was": they can be stuffed with everything that is in the refrigerator. The temptation to add ready-made meat products is great, right? But in the name of a he althy diet, we strongly recommend not to get carried away with them. As an alternative, we advise you to cook chicken pastrami - a wonderful cold appetizer,which can be cut into slices and added to a sandwich. You can make a spare and freeze some. So take:
- chicken fillet - 500 g;
- mustard - 1 tsp;
- paprika (regular or smoked) - 1 tsp;
- chili - 0.5 tsp;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- black - pepper to taste;
- water (1) - 1 tbsp. l.;
- water (2) - 500 ml;
- s alt - 1 tsp. with slide.
You will also need thick kitchen string.
Step by step
Dissolve s alt in cold water (500 ml).
Put the chicken fillet in this solution and refrigerate for two hours.
Chop garlic, combine with paprika, mustard, chili, black pepper and water. Mix the resulting paste until smooth.
Remove the fillets, pat dry and generously brush with half of the mixture.
Shape the fillet into sausages, tying with kitchen string for greater density.
Received semi-finished products liberally smear the remaining paste on top. Place the fillets back in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Preheat oven to 250 oC.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper, lay out the chicken rolls and bake for 20 minutes.
Turn off the oven and, without opening the door, leave the pastrami in it to cool for 2 hours.
After that, pack the finished snack tightly in foil and place in the refrigerator overnight.
